Fernando Verdasco's New Resistance Training Exercise - Pulling an SUV
TSpain's Fernando Verdasco has tried something new as part of his resistance training this off-season. The Spaniard towed an entire SUV which weighs around 4,500 pounds and posted the video to his Instagram account. Verdasco has a belt tied around his waist that is attached to the SUV and he drags it single handedly with his own body weight.
As he does in tennis, Verdasco does not give up when he gets stuck in the middle but instead he keeps going on with his willpower and determination to reach the finish line successfully. Verdasco is currently ranked No. 49 in the ATP world rankings.
He has been as high as No. 7 in the world in 2009. He posted a 26-27 record on the tour this year, earning 20+ wins for the 16th straight year starting from 2004. This is the second longest active streak along with Rafael Nadal behind Roger Federer, who has 20.
He has also played at 66 straight Grand Slam events, the second longest streak of all-time behind countryman Feliciano Lopez’ active streak of 71 Slams.
